Resistance training for 20 minutes, 2-3x per week is proven to increase physical and mental health, decrease fat, and maintain or regain muscle and bone density! Using easily transportable equipment like resistance bands, kettlebells, and bodyweight, participants will learn good technique doing exercises that will increase their ability to perform activities of daily living. All new participants must sign a waiver before their first class and should get medical clearance before starting this or any other exercise program.

Tuesdays – Balance

Work with Nicole on improving your balance and proprioception (awareness of your body’s movement and position) through static and dynamic movements. This is a low intensity, low impact exercise that will strengthen your lower body.

Thursdays – Walk to the Rhythm

Walk and move to the beat of fun music in this low impact, moderate intensity workout that lasts only 30 minutes. Make sure to get medical clearance prior to starting this or any other fitness program.

Warm Up with a Good Book this Winter and participate in our Reading Program for Adults & Teens.
Open to adults & teens ages 13+
Register Here online and at the Library beginning Tuesday, January 31st through Saturday, March 11th. Participants will need to provide their first & last name and contact information (email and/or phone) to register. Initial registration constitutes entry into the prize drawings, all of which will be held on March 11th. Need not be present to win, though prizes will be selected by the winners on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation Prizes:
After the initial registration, participants may choose a specialty chocolate reward each time they visit the library to check out a book or attend a library program.
