Tuesdays – Balance
Work with Nicole on improving your balance and proprioception (awareness of your body’s movement and position) through static and dynamic movements. This is a low intensity, low impact exercise that will strengthen your lower body.
Thursdays – Walk to the Rhythm (cardio)
Walk and move to the beat of fun music in this low impact, moderate intensity workout that lasts only 30 minutes.
Fridays – Circuit Strength training
Resistance training for 20 minutes, 2-3x per week is proven to increase physical and mental health, decrease fat, and maintain or regain muscle and bone density! Using easily transportable equipment like resistance bands, kettle-bells, and body-weight, participants will learn good technique doing exercises that will increase their ability to perform activities of daily living.All new participants must sign a waiver before their first class and should get medical clearance before starting this or any other exercise program.

2) Pick up your Reading Passport from the library.
3) Mark off one square in your Reading Passport for every item you complete.

Using the Reading Passport:
Mark off squares on your own as you complete each item. Most items involve reading a book of a specific type; others may suggest an activity to complete or a library event to attend. Each book, activity, or event may only be used for one square.
When you have completed four or more items on any one page, bring your Reading Passport into the library to get the back cover stamped, receive a small prize, and enter your name into a drawing for the prize of your choice.

Ensō Daiko:Taiko Performance – May 26th
Join us for a movement-infused, heart-pounding, dynamic group drumming performance by the Enso Daiko ensemble from TaikoArts Midwest. Taiko is the Japanese word for drum and refers to the modern style of playing these drums by combining music, dance, culture, and pure athleticism.
Library Tails – May 23rd
Spend some quality time reading with Spring, a licensed therapy dog.
- Private reading sessions are 15 minutes long. Call or stop by the library to see available time slots, and to sign-up.
- Dorothy, Spring’s trainer, and Alexa the librarian will be present at the session. Parents/caregivers are welcome to come in as well.
- There will be a wait list if time slots fill up. If you are on the waiting list you will be the first contacted for our next Library Tails event.

Have you ever wanted to find hidden treasure? Join Minnesota historian Doug Ohman on a fun and exciting adventure metal detecting. Doug has developed a hands-on workshop that will allow you to try your luck at this popular hobby. Doug will show you methods he has used to uncover and save history.
This is a fun workshop for all ages! Metal detectors and digging tools will be provided. If you have your own metal detector, please bring it along!
