  • Kids 13 and under
  • We’ll hang the coloring pages up at the library throughout October.

Join peregrine falcon researcher, Jackie Fallon, and her live birds for an up-close look at a peregrine falcon. Learn about the wildly successful recovery program that brought these amazing predators back from the brink of extinction. Hand-out activities will be available and don’t forget to bring a camera.

Come join Larry Richie for his program about the Upper Cannon River Basin. Larry is a local archeologist who has spent years researching the area and history of the Cannon River. His program will discuss how glaciers formed the basin and the role they played in shaping the waterways.

LuAnn will guide us on a leisurely “weed walk” along the Little Cannon River. We will search for typically over-looked or undesirable plants (weeds) that can actually be used for a variety of purposes. You’ll be amazed at how many edible and medicinal plants are growing wild in our area, perhaps even in your own backyard!
This event is free and open to all ages.
