Tuesdays – Chair Yoga
Cannon Valley Senior Center

Are you interested in improving your balance, increasing your breathing awareness, and decreasing your stress levels? Nicole will teach gentle chair yoga for active older adults. All yoga levels welcome, especially beginners. Wear comfortable clothing for free movement. If you care to modify your activity to perform yoga without the chair, you are welcome to bring your own yoga mat.

Thursdays – Walk to the Rhythm

This low impact, moderate intensity workout supplements your daily walks, but it’s to music and with friends!

Fridays – Circuit Training
Cannon Falls Library

Increase your strength, improve your bone health and experience other health benefits from resistance training.

All new participants are required to sign a waiver and should have medical clearance before starting this or any other exercise program.

Tuesdays – Balance
Work with Nicole on improving your balance and proprioception (awareness of your body’s movement and position) through static and dynamic movements. This is a low intensity, low impact exercise that will strengthen your lower body.
Thursdays – Walk to the Rhythm (cardio)
Walk and move to the beat of fun music in this low impact, moderate intensity workout that lasts only 30 minutes. 
Fridays – Circuit Strength training
Resistance training for 20 minutes, 2-3x per week is proven to increase physical and mental health, decrease fat, and maintain or regain muscle and bone density! Using easily transportable equipment like resistance bands, kettle-bells, and body-weight, participants will learn good technique doing exercises that will increase their ability to perform activities of daily living.All new participants must sign a waiver before their first class and should get medical clearance before starting this or any other exercise program.

Nicole will help you improve your balance and develop better proprioception and lower body strength. No equipment necessary.

Thursdays – Walk to the Rhythm
Move and groove to the beat of the music with this dance walk workout led by Nicole. If you have mobility issues, the workouts can be adapted to sitting in a chair. Arrive early to talk to Nicole about modifications. New participants should get medical clearance from their medical providers and sign a liability release.

Let’s rock! This seated and standing workout will raise your heart rate while dancing and drumming to the beat of fun music.
All participants are encouraged to get clearance from their medical provider prior to their first class. New participants must sign a waiver.
