Virtual Pet Show – January 29th

Virtual Pet Show
January 29th at 4 pm
via Zoom

Calling all kids! Do you have a pet, or maybe you just really like animals. If so you should sign up for the CF Library’s Virtual Pet Show. Each participant will take a turn showing the audience their pet, and tell us a little bit about them. If you love animals but don’t have a pet, that is okay, you can still sign-up to watch the show.
Email aochocki@selco.info by January 26th for the Zoom link and to let us know if you will be showing a pet or just watching.
For kids 13 and under.

Young Readers Virtual Book Club – Sat. Dec. 12th

Young Readers Book Club
Saturday Dec. 12th
2 pm via Zoom

The goal of this book club is to provide a space for new readers to practice, grow, and feel comfortable as they work on their reading skills.
At the meeting we will do a choral reading of the book, meaning all kids and adults will read the book at the same time, out loud, slowly. This helps those who may feel shy or self-conscious reading alone feel supported by the group. This type of reading builds language skills, information processing skills, vocabulary, and comprehension. We will have a short discussion about the book and then end the club with a song (song sheet provided when you pick up the book).
We cannot wait to read with you!
Ages: 5-9 (these are not hard age limits, any child is welcome!)

To participate in this book club, pick up the book from the Cannon Fall Library and email Alexa at aochocki@selco.info for the Zoom invite.
