The Cannon Falls Library is currently accepting applications for the position of Library Director.
The Cannon Falls Library seeks an energetic Library Director who will engage the community by providing dynamic library service to rural and city residents. The Library Director will competently lead the library staff to provide both traditional and innovative library services.
Cannon Falls, strategically located between Rochester and Minneapolis/St. Paul, presents the exciting challenges of meeting the needs of a diverse population. The Library Director, through clear communication and public advocacy, works closely with the library board, staff, foundation, city council, and various civic organizations to ensure that the library offers a vibrant programming schedule to enhance the life in downtown Cannon Falls.
Our facility, completed in 2013 with financial support of the community, offers a great opportunity for a leader to carry on the proud tradition of the Cannon Falls Library.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, or related field and considerable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
