Reopening Monday June 8th
At long last, safety supplies and protective equipment are coming into the library for installation.
Beginning June 8th, the Cannon Falls Library will be open by appointment only for limited computer use and browsing the collections during our current, reduced hours of 10:00am-5:00pm on Monday through Friday. We strongly encourage all patrons to wear face masks while in the library, as a courtesy to other patrons who may be at higher risk and to library staff. We will also have hand sanitizer near the entrance. We ask that patrons please use hand sanitizer when entering the building.
Computer appointments will be taken at the top of each hour beginning at 11:00am. In order to ensure social distancing at our computer stations, we can only reserve 3 computers per hour. Patrons will make appointments for a 45-minute session. If you need more than 45 minutes, you will need to leave the library and make an appointment for the next hour, if it is available. During that 15-minute break, library staff will sanitize the computer stations with appropriate cleanser. All appointments must be made by calling 507-263-2804 during library hours.
Library browsing and checkout appointments will be made at the half hour marks beginning at 10:30am. We will make appointments for up to 5 patrons per hour, to allow for adequate time to browse the collection and check out books or movies. All seating has been removed to discourage loitering in the library. You will be allowed up to one hour in the library. All appointments must be made by calling 507-263-2804 during library hours.
The library will continue to offer curbside service and Mystery Grab Bags. The process remains unchanged. Please call the library to let us know you are picking up items you have requested and we will gladly place them outside on the table when you arrive. All items must still be returned in the outside book drop to allow library staff to clean and quarantine those items.
