Fitness doesn’t have to cost money. It can be fun and free! Studies show that people are more likely to stick to fitness routines when they exercise with friends. So make some new friends or join with a friend for twice the benefit!
Join a librarian for Fit Fridays every Friday at noon. There will be a different fitness focus every 6-12 weeks, but the emphasis will always be on developing healthy habits that don’t break the bank.
Fall 2018 will focus on the health benefits of walking with Roaming Readers Walking Club from September 7th through November 9th. Readers will gather together at Hannah’s Bend Park at noon every Friday to walk the Mill Towns State Trail as a group. You can talk to fellow walkers about your latest read or anything you like. The walk will last under an hour, and return at Hannah’s Bend Park. Dress for the weather, because Fit Fridays will only be cancelled for rain.
