Remember when you met your favorite book? You spent hours together. You loved every clever line, each moment of heart-racing suspense. You come back to those favorite passages again and again, the ones that speak to your heart like you are the only reader in the world. You feel such a connection to this book that you want to shout your devotion from the rooftops! Er… you know this is about books, right?
Cannon Falls Library wants to give you a chance to share your favorite book with other book lovers, listen to recommendations from other readers, and perhaps make a few new friends. To kick off Hot Reads for Cold Nights 2018, Cannon Falls Library staff invite adults of all ages, romantic status, and inclination to come to our Literary Speed Dating event on Friday evening, January 26, 2018 at 6pm. The goal of this event is to find a reading connection. No romance here, unless that’s your favorite book’s genre. No judgment. By hearing suggestions from other readers, perhaps you can find your next great read… or two.

We ask that you come prepared with information about your favorite book- the physical book, if possible (bring your own, or check our catalog to see if we have it!), or at least the title and author information. This way, you will be prepared to have conversations with other readers. You will be paired off with other interested readers and given a few minutes to talk about your favorite books before moving on to the next participant. Refreshments will be served at this FREE event.
Hot Reads for Cold Nights will run January 22nd through March 31st.
